Dear Readers and Students,
What comes to my mind, while trying to choose an appropriate message for you, is the advice given by Jesus Christ to his disciples.
Jesus Christ, as you already know, was a popular teacher. His teachings have spread worldwide and influenced people of all walks of life. Many different religions consider him a great prophet and an extraordinary person, a model of goodness, one of the greatest men the world has ever seen. One of his popular teachings is "And so I tell you, keep on asking you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened."(Luke 11 :9-10) Knowledge is an on-going process.
St. Jude's School has now completed fifty years of existence. It gives me enormous pleasure to see the progress of the school over the years, which could not have happened without the efforts, devotion and commitment of a dedicated staff. Today, we are a recognized institution providing education up to class 12. The school is a recognized leader in preparing students for the rigors of academic and professional success in India and maybe, abroad, providing a creative, instructional atmosphere with a personal touch. The school has for long served as a proven pathway to learning the English language for non-English speaking students and provides a fair platform for students to perfect their English language skills for professional or personal purposes.
The patron saint of the school in St. Jude, a cousin of Jesus Christ, whose feast is celebrated on 28th October. He is the patron of things that we think are unreachable. Hence, our motto "Nihil Desperandum" meaning 'never despair' is a lesson in courage. Don't give up and I am sure you will achieve your goal. It is my firm advice to all my students to have the courage to reach where you wish to go. Follow the right path and work hard and nothing is impossible. God bless each one of you.
